We get audio or video back to you in 96 hours or less.
We charge a simple, flat rate per minute of audio or video: $1.00 per audio minute. For a one hour (60 minute) file, the cost would be $60.00. Timestamps and verbatim are options that cost an additional $0.25 per audio minute each. There is no additional charge for multiple speakers and there is no sales tax. We round up all audio to the nearest whole minute.
Yes, we offer timestamps as an option when you place your order for an additional charge of $0.25 per minute of audio or video. The timestamps are based on the duration of the audio or video. If timestamps are embedded in the audio or video, please let us know.
No. We have one low price for everyone, $1 per minute, regardless of the amount of audio that needs to be transcribed.
Yes, we transcribe multi-speaker files and we charge the same price: $1.00 per audio minute. We label speakers as "Speaker 1", "Speaker 2", "John" etc. We fill in speaker names as much as possible.
Yes, we have transcriptionists from a variety of backgrounds to handle any type of audio or video you need transcribed.
The entire Transcribe Team website is 128-bit SSL encrypted. Your credit card information is never stored. Your audio and video files are securely stored and never shared with anyone other than the transcribers working on your files. Audio and video files are broken down into smaller segments and then sent out to different transcribers for transcription so that transcribers do not have full access to all of the audio in the files. All transcribers are required to work under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Files and links are securely stored in our servers, then deleted after completion of a transcript. Unlike other transcription companies we don't share your audio with third parties or publish it anywhere on the Internet. We process all audio in-house using our secure servers, and audio is kept on file for a maximum of 14 days once completed. We would be happy to sign your NDA. Send us an email with your NDA attached.
We strive for 98% accuracy. The resulting transcription will be as accurate as humanly possible given the quality of the original recording. We monitor our quality very closely and all audio and video submitted is transcribed and reviewed by professional transcriptionists and editors.
The default transcript edits out filler words such as "uhh" and "umm" as this is the most popular and easiest to read format for our clients. You may select the verbatim option during checkout if you prefer to have all filler words included, for an additional fee of $0.25 per audio minute.
We edit filler words such as "uhh" and "umm" to best represent the integrity of the recording. This is called editing for clarity. However, we do not edit grammatical errors as we only transcribe the audio as is. You may request verbatim transcription as an optional add-on to your order if you prefer to have all filler words included, for an additional fee of $0.25 per minute.
Yes, we can handle speakers with accents.
Your transcriptions will be returned as text files (.txt) and Microsoft Word documents (.docx).
We currently accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover).
When your transcriptions are finished, we will send you an email with a link to download the transcripts as text files (.txt) and Microsoft Word documents (.docx).
You are billed when your order is placed.
Once your order is submitted, we have one of our transcribers work on it as soon as possible. After our transcriber is finished, the transcription goes into our editing queue to be edited. We streamline the transcription process as much as possible to get you order back to you as soon as we can.
We screen and hire professional transcriptionists who transcribe your work right the first time so no extra work is needed. We then have an editor review the work of the transcriber. This two-step process allows us to have a lower price than other companies while maintaining fast turnaround and great quality.

We support all major digital audio and video file types. We can transcribe your audio or video no matter what format your audio or video is in. Here are some of the most popular video and audio file types that we see:

We accept file uploads of any size. If your file is extremely large and is taking a long time to upload because of the speed of your internet connection, you can reduce the size of your file by converting it to an mp3 file.
Yes, you can. We have spent a lot of time making uploading files as quick and as easy as possible. You can upload multiple files directly from your computer or you can give us multiple links (i.e., to have transcribed. Hold Shift or Ctrl to select multiple files when the upload window opens.
The Transcribe Team website has been thoroughly tested with modern versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari on both PCs and Macs.
Even though we have a 96 hour turnaround time, sometimes we're late due to a variety of circumstances. If the file size is really large, or has many speakers, or there is a mis-priced order, there can be delays.
We strive for 98% accuracy on our transcriptions and try to be as accurate as humanly possible given the quality of the original recording. If you're not happy with your transcription, we will fix it for free.
We are open for business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including all holidays.
